To make or not to make...a new account

Tue Sep 22, 2009, 5:40 PM
Title says it all. I've been thinking on this one for quite some time now, and I think I might just transfer all of my photography and whatnot over to a new account. If I do, my screen name would be something like Northern Eye or something like that, as I feel that my identity here is sort of linked to something in the past (a character, really), and I think that it's a personal era that has sort of been fun but has now gone. Creating a new account seems like it would be representing how I've grown, and also it seems like a much more mature identity that I could link to more professionally. I mean really, Northern Eye Creations sounds like an awesome name to me, while no one has no idea what "Lorenidae" means.

My only concern is that I lose all of my stats, and that effing sucks.

Anyway, thoughts?

I'm going to take a moment and do a shameless plug while promoting an awesome site for those of you who want to sell your handmade and/or vintage stuff. It's called Etsy.com, and it's fabulous.

I've got a few items up for sale right now at my shop ([link]). I'm also in a giving mood. If any of my watchers want to buy an item from my shop, make sure you message me on my Etsy page with your deviantART info and I'll give you an extra 15% off!

And for those of you looking for a place to sell some handmade stuff or vintage awesomeness, go ahead and create an Etsy for yourself. It's free to sign up, and it's better than trying Ebay because Etsy only takes a 2-3% fee instead of the 12 or whatever it is on Ebay. It's also only 20 cents to list an item for 3 months. Other than that, you choose your price, your shipping, your photos, etc. It's pretty awesome!

On a completely different note, it's storming here. About time we got some thunder!
